I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while not because I want to get anything out of it but simply because I think it’s worth the business hearing this. I came in last winter for a 4x4 fault on my 2018 f250 and it ended up needing vacuum lines. No issue with that that gave me a very reasonable price and got the job done quickly with very professional service. I did also ask them to look over the truck since it was new. They did recommend rear brakes and rotors. Since it was a new truck I planned on doing pads anyway and did so a few weeks later. I found the pads had little wear but the backings were corroded so fair enough suggestion. However I didn’t find any reason to replace the rotors, now I did not ask for clarification at the time and I am not a mechanic so I will give them a pass on that one I could very well be wrong. Especially given I did intact ask them to find issues. However I was very concerned that when I popped the cover on the wheels off I was missing a front left lug nut, and one the rear right was only finger tight. I don’t have significant concerns about this being a reputable shop but I do urge them to double check things like that and it makes me wary

I had a serpentine belt/water pump issue, and they fixed it in a day! I dropped off the vehicle on a Sunday when they were closed, and I especially enjoyed how they had a whole checklist of stuff on the key envelope itself. I was able to check what needed work and write some contact info/some exposition about my car’s symptoms, and they got it done! I picked it up the following Tuesday morning, which was great because I got to avoid the horrible torrential thunderstorms from Monday evening. Also, they had a little plastic figurine of Mario from specifically either Mario Kart 64 or Mario Kart Super Circuit, and that just brought a huge smile to my face that I felt was worth mentioning. Apparently one of the owners’ names is Charlie Brown, which was also cute because there were a bunch of Peanuts figurines in the lobby too :) Fun-loving place, glad my coworkers recommended the establishment!

Charlie and Carrie were amazing. Having a daughter at ISU, they went above and beyond to take care of our vehicle. Great communication to keep us informed gave us piece of mind from out of town. Very much appreciated! 👏👏

We were so impressed with Charlie and all the staff at Fix It auto. We live in Illinois, but my son was working at a church camp nearby and they took such good care of us and our BMW with last minute notice. Highly recommend!

Amazing quick service. Very knowledgeable staff, and the experience is like being in a mom and pop shop due to the warm way you are treated. The prices are reasonable, they try to be as fair as possible while offering high quality service and true diagnosis. I felt confident that my vehicle would be receiving the best service without any issues due to lack of experience and I got just that. I would recommend 10/10 and plan to continue to get my vehicle serviced here. Update: June 12, 2026. I took my car to get serviced yesterday and the experience is still impeccable, with honest mechanics who are very down to earth. Makes you feel like your car has a home of its own. I also got quoted for a timing belt/water pump service and the price was beyond reasonable compared to other numbers I’ve heard about. Again, I 1000% recommend you take your vehicle over to Fix It Auto. It’s very refreshing to have mechanics that will be honest and tell you what services you need and what services are optional.
